What to do with leftover Brioche 2

Posted By Cenk On September 13, 2007 @ 8:53 am In Bread,Breakfast and Brunch | 19 Comments

You baked it. Then you cut it into small rectangles, toasted it and turned it into a delicious dessert. What’s next?

You cut it into slices, place them in a toaster and then top it with your favorite ingredients.

I spread Nutella on anything edible, so it was a no brainer. Sprinkle of pistachios adds both color and extra flavor. Then some homemade sour cherry jam. Simple and delicious. After that an egg, sprinkled with crushed red peppers and dried oregano.

Lastly, fresh tomatoes from my parents’ garden topped with feta cheese, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.

It is impossible to exhaust possibilities with this delicious bread, but I hope I have given you enough inspiration to try Dorie’s wonderful brioche recipe. And if you haven’t bought her book yet, head over to Amazon – right now.
