What to do with leftover Brioche 2
September 13th, 2007 | Category: Baked Goods, Breakfast, Chocolate
You baked it. Then you cut it into small rectangles, toasted it and turned it into a delicious dessert. What’s next?

You cut it into slices, place them in a toaster and then top it with your favorite ingredients.
I spread Nutella on anything edible, so it was a no brainer. Sprinkle of pistachios adds both color and extra flavor.
Then some homemade sour cherry jam. Simple and delicious.
After that an egg, sprinkled with crushed red peppers and dried oregano.

Lastly, fresh tomatoes from my parents’ garden topped with feta cheese, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.

It is impossible to exhaust possibilities with this delicious bread, but I hope I have given you enough inspiration to try Dorie’s wonderful brioche recipe. And if you haven’t bought her book yet, head over to Amazon - right now.
Here are some more goodies that I baked from Dorie’s book (from my archives):

Cenk çok kötüsün nasıl canım çekti ÅŸimdi gene döktürmüşsün kızarmış ekmekler ancak bu kadar güzel görünebilir doÄŸrusu…
I prefer my leftover brioche simple.
Perhaps with just a nice warm cup of salep…
andreea - Thank you. Let me know how it turns out.
Filiz - Çok teşekkürler. Haklısın yazıları öğlen vakitlerine denk getirmemek lazım.
David - Since the beginning of last week, the weather has taken a dramatic change and temperatures are now averaging around 20°C. And that means the salep season is approaching fast. Poor orchids…
I love the first photo with the four slices! Ah! Another Nutella fan
It really is the perfect spread!
I’ve been sourcing around for brioche recipes, and have had so many bookmarked but I’m still sitting on them, waiting for the right time. Having a sweet tooth, I always worried not being able to finish the brioche. Thanks for the wonderful endless ideas for leftover brioche! Captivating photos on this site; I’ll be dropping by for more

Cenk, that’s just genius! This is not trying to get rid of some leftovers, this is Art. I love your brioche with pistachios on top. It looks just like your brownie. And by the way, you should answer Clare, she sounds very serious.Should I congratulate you guys?
Wonderful your ideas. The last time that I made brioche I only thought in sandwich with parma ham.
