Thank you for highlighting Cemilzade, a wonderful confectioner's..It is an Istanbul tradition. I love buying their lokum to give as gifts. Beautiful packaging. Perhaps at another time, you can also mention Haci Bekir and the women in Bebek who make the marzipan by hand?

My number one is double roasted pistachio lokum of Ali Muhiddin Haci Bekir in Istanbul. The lokums of Ali Uzun have same quality and taste in Ankara. Unfortunately I am living in Reading now and I can find just lemon and rose lokums at Marks&Spencer. When I went to London, I found more variety at Fortnum & Mason which is a gorgeous candy shop at Picadilly. But it is worth a treasure. I love chocolate, macaron, lokum and all lovely candies :o) And you should go to Fortnum & Mason in Picadilly , you are worth it ;o)
