Oh WOW! Are you in Paris now?? I’m going tomorrow to see friends…There’s a great place in the Marais that I love.. THE BEST lemon meringue pies… If you’re in Paris, drop me a line and I can let you know a few of my fav. local spots… Take care, Leesa
Oh, how I’m missing Paris …
Leesa – Unfortunately, I am not in Paris right now… It has been over a week since I came back… But please do share your favorite local spots. I’m sure it will be helpful on my next visit.
Quel dommage! Eh bien, Cenk…
On of my fav. spots is in the Marais… It’s called Le Loir dans le Théière right at the beginning of rue des Rosiers… I have blogged about it in the past … check my blog…
Also, my friend Aimee’s very cute salon du thé L’Oisive Thé – http://loisivethe.com
There is also Mamie Gateaux a small tea house near St. Placide and Au Bon Marché (which if you haven’t checked this place out, it’s a MUST for people who love to cook)… There’s also my favourite coffeehouse in Paris- Malongo at Odéon… b/c their aren’t many coffee houses here in Paris as there are in Turkey, I’m sure… And, two of my students just opened a gelataria “Il Gelato” (and they make their OWN delish gelato) at 65 Blvd. Saint Germaine .
I have more spots, but I don’t want to take up too much of your comments page… If you’d like, feel free to contact me by email whenever you’d like… and feel free to stop by my blog anytime.. I blog about my life in France(outside of Paris)…
Turkey is on my list of Top 5 destinations, so I may contact you one day, too.. if that’s okay.
Leesa – Thanks for all the links. I bookmarked them for my next visit! Please do let me know before you come to Turkey.
Great! If you need more, just let me know! : ) I’ll let you know when I travel to Turkey… I had a lot of friends from all over Turkey years ago in S.D. and I was always invited to their dinner parties.. It was then I fell in love with Turkish cuisine.. I must have been Turkish in a past life..
Take care and GREAT photos.. You’re the best!
