Introducing Fernando
April 02nd, 2006 | Category: Memoir/Meme/Misc.
Fernando is a 2 year old grumpy English Bulldog, who happens to come from a very famous and rich family. A friend of mine found him crying in his cradle on Bond Street, London apparently on the day he was abandoned by his shopaholic mother (Eye witnesses mentioned a woman rushing from one designer store to another after dumping him on the sidewalk. The Tiffany teething ring rattle neatly tucked under his tiny Burberry’s blanket was another clue. But, I digress).
We have been inseparable since the day we met. He is one of my inspirations in life as well as my most ruthless critic when it comes to tasting my recipes.

I have been fortunate enough to meet the infamous Fernando in person. As a matter of fact we were dining with him last night, enjoying a marvellously baked “salmon in parchment over a citrus flavored onion bed”…Oh, Cenk was there as well. Let me tell you this: Never have I enjoyed a salmon this tender with a taste this genuine. Citrus flavour turned out to be “just the touch it takes” to make this recipe as unique as it is. Once again: Fernando did it!
LOL…I thought it was a figurine…I’m sorry for that…Fernando looks adorable…Azra, you really had a great dinner with Fernando…
